By Car/Taxi

From the City, take the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Jurong.
Look out for and turn off at Exit 7 of the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
Follow the prominent brown signs to the Singapore Zoo.
On a regular day, the journey will take approximately 30 minutes.

Morning Highlights* (9am - 1pm)

9.00am
Arrival at the Zoo

Meander through the Rainforest Walk to catch the sight of Asian small-clawed otters before heading past Gibbon Island for a glimpse of our acrobatic apes.

9.00 – 9.15am
Stop by the Elephant Bathing area ( 9.00-9.30am) and pack our pachyderms with fruit during the token feeding session ( 9.15am).

9.15 – 10.00am
Jungle Breakfast –with Wildlife at Jungle Flavours

The buffet is not the only draw at this unique breakfast experience. Get close to our charismatic orang utans and petite cotton top tamarins. Or pose with a snake for a memorable photograph.

10.00 – 10.30am
Polar Bear Feeding ( 10.05am)

Observe the seldom-seen underwater behaviour of the world’s largest bears. Watch Inuka fishing for a treat, and learn about how enrichment keeps our bears active

OR

Traipse to Fragile Forest, a walk-thru rainforest home to free ranging lesser mousedeer, ring-tailed lemurs, tree kangaroos, sloths and butterflies amidst mighty trees, delicate ferns and stunning cascades.

Stroll over to Orchid Garden (if time permits) and admire the fragrant vanilla and the tiger orchid – the world’s largest orchid. A great burst of colours greets visitors as this exhibit showcases both long and short stalked plants; orchids that grow up from the ground, those that hang from trees, and even those that wrap around rocks. If you’re lucky you might also chance upon Singapore’s national flower – Vanda Miss Joaquim.

10.30 – 11.00am
Reptile Garden

Take a quick ramble past the Reptile Gardenfor all things scaly – from our giant Aldabra tortoises to the rhino iguanas to the Komodo dragons.

11.00 – 12.00noon
Spring over to the Splash Amphitheatre to catch the Splash Safari show, which stars jackass penguins, Californian sea lions, Caribbean manatees and the pelicans. The audience can expect to receive nuggets of interesting information on the animals as they witness the spectacular display behaviours from these marine creatures.

OR

Proceed to the Elephants At Work and Play show ( 11.30am) at the Elephants of Asiaexhibit. This show gives you an insight into a working elephant’s typical day at the logging camp. It demonstrates the incredible bond between the mahouts and their elephants, and reveals how intelligent these giants are. Immerse yourself in the ecological and cultural wealth of Asia at the six huts, each of which showcases an Asian country that is home to these majestic creatures.

12.00 – 12.30pm
Hamadryas Baboons – The Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia

This award winning exhibit features a spectacular troop of about 80 baboons alongside Nubian ibexes, black-backed jackals, rock hyraxes and banded mongoose in a stunning landscape of massive rocks. Experience the native Ethiopian lifestyle with rustic tribal villages, artifacts and coffee ceremony huts.

12.30 – 1.00pm
Hop into Australian Outback! Interspersed with semi-arid and marginally fertile ground, this exhibit reflects the rugged beauty of Down Under. Visitors can come up close to Eastern grey kangaroos, agile wallabies and emus. Other highlights here include the inland taipan – the deadliest snake in the world with the most toxic venom, the cassowary, bearded dragon and carpet python. Learn more about these animals from the educational interpretives located throughout the exhibit and pop onto the modified jeep for a great photo opportunity.

OR

Catch the spectacular white tigers at Tiger Trek. This exhibit is designed in an interactive mode with multimedia animal facts and messages about wildlife conservation. Visitors can have an opportunity to see a tiger’s pug mark, hear a tiger roar and watch a video on tiger bones and how poachers hunt it to make traditional medicine.

SENTOSA:

Guests boarding the orange Sentosa bus from HarbourFront Interchange will alight at the Beach Station. Remember to purchase your Songs of the Sea admission tickets from the Ticketing booth nearby!

When leaving the island, guests may either board Sentosa Express or the orange bus from Beach Station once more. Ticketing: S$3 per person (Adult and Child aged 3 and above).

All right everyone, soon enough, school'll be starting and some of us are going to other schools.. So, let's all make a pact that we'll visit this blog at least once a month and 4 years from now, after we all graduate from Sec. school, we can have a class reunion. :D Does anyone support this idea? :D Hahaha. Lol. I certainly hope so. And I am pretty much guessing that most people should know the password? If you don't you can always tag on the tagboard with your email address filled in. HEY 6.5. THIS IS A SUPER IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.

ANOTHER (yes, there been many ,)suggested date for the class party is the 22nd of november. or the day of our PSLE results BECAUSE, then everyone would be in school and transport would be slighly easier.

BUT in case you all think that you "mood" just wont be right, YOU'VE GOT MY WORD THAT YOU ALL WILL DO UBER WELL IN THE EXAMS. X)HHAAA. im not lying lah. :]

Tomorrow is the start of the fruit and vegetable month.<33 Please buy a fruit or vegetable dish from school during recess or lunch!You will receive a card and the class with the most cards will get some prize I THINK. So just eat healthy for 6.5! Just buy a slice of watermelon or something like that. Hello kiddos!~

Okay, ignore the kiddos. Anyways, I'd like to inform you guys that I (or Li En if and when she reads this) will be posting weekend homework. Not everyday because by the time I can get on the comp, everyone has to go to bed. So weekend and holiday homework, okay? =D =D However I don't think I will be posting mother tongue homework because I don't know any of the Tamil homework and if we just post Chinese homework it'll be unfair, wouldn't it...? Unless someone would be kind enough to just tag it at the tag board every weekend or tell me the homework. Hm... So anyways, for the sake of doing it, today's homework is

-Mathematics Test Booklet Preliminary Examinations.

-Science Set 2. Part A and B.

-This Thursday lao shi will not be in school, I think
-Friday is Racial Harmony day, + concert. YAY. And the kolam competition. Those involved are Maeghan Lee, Aqilah, Keerthana, Mira, Tasha and Geraldine
-For all the GB girls and Brownies, please report at the linkway on Monday at 11.30am for the founders day contingent marching parade rehearsal. Practise is until 1 o'clock. Please either come in Uniform or PE attire with pinafore.GB girls wear your muff tee or however you spell it.
-For all the whole class or school, Tuesday there is a technical rehearsal for founder's day (the following day) and those involved in the parade come down to the linkway by 7.45 in full uniform(and cap for brownies).And those others involved in the concert or performance please go to your respected places at the respected times. :p
-Don't kill me because I don't know the times and places for the handbells and voice choirs.

Okay you guys, the blog has been set up. Anyways, I know this blogskin's really ugly but none other but vice-press Li En to the rescue. She's gonna make a prettier one. Personalised with our photos I think. But definitely an MGS theme. :) And I'm thinking that this blog will be used to discuss problems and events? Anyways, I think we'll have a vote. We'll see if Siyue and I have to post everyday homework. :D Er. Uh-oh.

Moving on, let me add that further improvements will be taking place, such as the basic tagboard, background music... etc. Not too sure yet. Haha. Sorry. Nothing's to definite yet. This blog is still in it's infancy. :D And now I shall add some pretty shiney things in the next blog because MAC computers doesn't support the magical formula of CONTROL + C.
